RIVERS AND LAKES OF BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA

It is almost impossible to figure out the multitude of mystical effects which have intertwined in the area of this small Balkan country.

The major rivers include River Sava bordering with Croatia and River Drina bordering with Serbia. A number of rivers and streams flow into Sava some of which include Rivers Una, Vrbas, Bosna and Drina which wriggle their way through the narrow canyons in the mountainous areas of the country. Neretva is a major river in Herzegovina and flows into the Adriatic Sea. The longest river (which does not flow towards other countries) is River Bosna. The artificial (reservoir) lakes in BiH include Buško Lake, Bilećko Lake, Jablaničko Lake, Ramsko Lake...etc. The largest BiH lake is Buško.
